Sixth Appearance! The Astounding Wolf-Man #5 by Jason Howard

March 10, 2008

I'm a bit of a Robert Kirkman fan. Heck, my first two appearances are in books he has written! So when this gem of a book was announced as a new Kirkman written comic for Free Comic Book Day, I was pretty well already on board. Jason Howard's art only helped add to the cause.

I looked Jason up and e-mailed him in January 2007. He replied rather fast, "Sure, I'll draw you getting killed or something".

Free Comic Book Day came and the book launched in May. In November he informs me that I'll be in issue #5 on page two. A theme that seems to be running in Kirkman's books. Jason has been cool through our contact in the year leading to my appearance. Thanks for humoring a fanboy, man.

By the way, is it just me, or does my scene look a little reminiscent of the guy in the corner on the cover of Action Comics #1? Eh?
