Thanks Mateus Santolouco!

June 26, 2013

Big thanks to Mateus Santolouco for one; giving me a cameo appearance in TMNT, two; doing it in three panels on three pages and three; giving me my first appearance of the year after a six month dry spell.

*Fun Fact: Favorite Turtle... Raphael.

Appearance #39! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #23 by Mateus Santolouco!

Cowabunga Dude!

I had to say it. I mean, the 1990's me would totally think this was awesome! And it is. Thanks to Mateus Santolouco I've now got an appearance in a TMNT book. Wow. And three panels on three pages. Very nice!

Earlier this year when the current "City Fall" arc was announced, I decided to look into the art on TMNT. Turns out they were bringing Mateus in on the main book from a TMNT mini-series he did "Secret History of the Foot Clan", which looked great! So I was on board for this, but was he? So I sent him an e-mail.

Sure enough he replied back, pretty enthusiastically too. He offered me a choice in a role, if I'd "rather be a Doctor or a random soldier/ninja/mobster?" I thought about if my generic hipster look could pass as a ninja, and figured it probably wouldn't look quite right. So playing it safe I chose doctor.

Fast forward and today my cameo appearance helps ER victim Casey Jones, who in the previous issue was stabbed in the gut by TMNT baddie Shedder!

Check out the pages below...

Glimpse into the Future

June 17, 2013

Appearances have been slow this year. That's been my bad. I'm looking to fix that though. Here's a little look into the next few months...
