Draw Me In 2012 - Year in Review Pt. 2 (July-Dec)
December 31, 2012
Almost didn't make it in time! Here's part two of the year in review!
To me 2012 will be remembered as the year I made the crossover from over ego-tastical obsessive comic fanboy to indie comic book creator! The good folks over in charge of 86'd allowed me the opportunity to create with the help of my good friends a short story that was published and debuted early September at the Free State Comic Con. This published work also gave me the great fortune to be a guest to the show. And let me tell you, I like being on the other side of the table.
Here's to 2013 and to the possibility of more published comic work, in any form I can get!
Additionally in September was my first radio interview courtesy of the Denmark NPR, on a program dedicated to comic books. That was a cool honor!
In October I was a guest at the inaugural Kansas City Super Halloween Comic Con which I was able to see and hang with the 86'd crew again.
November I had an interview in Unicum magazine, a publication mainly for university students in Germany.
The last part of the year saw two more comic book appearances in Manhattan Projects and Star Trek: TNG Hive. Both of which I am proud to add to the cameo list!
It's been a great year for DMI. I look forward to another, thanks for checking out the blog and Happy New Year!
