Thanks Richard Jordan & Angelo Tirotto!
February 23, 2012
Usually I only have contact with the artist of a comic. However in this case I've spoken mostly with the writer of No Place Like Home. So I'd like to give thanks to both Richard and Angelo for my most recent appearance!
Thanks guys!

Appearance #30! No Place Like Home #1 by Richard Jordan!
YEAH! Appearance #30!
And what a great book to celebrate thirty appearances with. Months ago when I saw the solicit for No Place Like Home, I knew I had to contact these guys. Richard and Angelo were both great to talk too and were more than willing to sneak me into No Place Like Home. It's an honor to be in their inaugural issue, and look forward to reading more.

Wired Magazine Article!
February 20, 2012
Hello and welcome Wired readers!
As my usual traffic here consists of comic professionals and the occasional curious fanboy, I'd like to take this opportunity to say thanks for visiting Draw Me In!
Many months ago I was contacted for an article in Wired Magazine on my campaign. I was honored and surprised, but in the end... it's still pretty cool!
I update the site a few times a month when I can. I'll admit, if there's nothing happening there's just nothing to report on. And although this is a personal quest, I invite you to follow along if you'd like, as I chronicle and catalog any future appearances. Or whatever else may become of my "hobby within a hobby".
I thought last year was a good year, but 2012 is starting to look pretty great too.
Hit the jump for a scan of the Wired article. Best!

86'd: A Horror Anthology Funding Drive
In doing my part to help out the local arena of talent here in the Kansas City area, may I present to you a comic one-shot called 86'd: A Horror Anthology!
Artists Bill Hook and Nick Perry have brought together a variety of writers and artists to the 52-page comic magazine, and are currently running a funding drive on IndyGoGo. After two weeks they have raised nearly half of their $1,000 goal with only two weeks left to go. The majority of the proceeds are designated to cover production and promotional expenses for the publication with remaining funds going to creator compensation.
Like with most of these types of fund raisers, contributors are given certain perks based on the level of donations given. Some perks include sketches, screen prints, original artwork and copies of the book itself.
To learn more about this project please feel free to visit their funding site or the official project website, 86dstudios.

Appearances in March!
February 15, 2012
Received good news yesterday in the form of an e-mail from Wolverine & the X-men artist Nick Bradshaw.
I'm going to be in issue #7! Although I might be a mutant or an alien in it. He didn't really specify, but either of which will be a first for me.... I'm excited regardless.
The book is scheduled for March 14, the same day Saucer Country #1 ships. An issue where Ryan Kelly has penciled me in somewhere.
It's another one of those rare double shipping weeks and I can't wait!

Sneak Peak: Fanboys vs. Zombies!
February 10, 2012
Earlier today iFanboy posted an exclusive preview of Boom! Studios Fanboys vs. Zombies #1.
Having recently talked to series artist Jerry Gaylord, I looked over these pages with a keen eye... and sure enough! I see this:
Thanks again Jerry. I look forward to picking up my many copies in April. (Seriously, how many variant covers are there for this thing?)

Sneak Peek of Oz!
February 1, 2012
Received an awesome e-mail this morning. One of those surprise e-mails that really makes a day for me.
Back in November I've been in contact with Angelo Tirotto, writer of No Place Like Home from Image Comics. Because of him and series artist Richard Jordan, I've been spotted in issue #1 due out at the end of this month!
Want proof? Now I've got it!
