Just a few quick mentions...
- The Wired Magazine article is up online and can be found on their site here.
- No Place Like Home #1 has sold out from Image Comics. Congratulations to Angelo and Richard. A second printing will be released with a new cover the same day issue #2 hits shelves on March 21.
- Only five more days left to contribute to 86'd: A Horror Anthology. Please check their site and help with their funding drive on IndyGoGo.
- Recently out this week Green Wake #10 was the last issue of the series. I've been lucky enough to have been in two books written by Kurtis Wiebe (Peter Panzerfaust) and three books drawn by Riley Rossmo (Rebel Blood). Both have various projects happening now but will be teaming back up later in July this year for Debris, also from Image Comics. Thanks boys for an.. uh, interesting read in Green Wake, and much success to your future projects.

Usually I only have contact with the artist of a comic. However in this case I've spoken mostly with the writer of No Place Like Home. So I'd like to give thanks to both Richard and Angelo for my most recent appearance!

And what a great book to celebrate thirty appearances with. Months ago when I saw the solicit for No Place Like Home, I knew I had to contact these guys. Richard and Angelo were both great to talk too and were more than willing to sneak me into No Place Like Home. It's an honor to be in their inaugural issue, and look forward to reading more.

Received an awesome e-mail this morning. One of those surprise e-mails that really makes a day for me.
Back in November I've been in contact with Angelo Tirotto, writer of No Place Like Home from Image Comics. Because of him and series artist Richard Jordan, I've been spotted in issue #1 due out at the end of this month!

I'm always checking the monthly solicits to check out new books I might enjoy. And a majority of these new #1's I end up picking up happen to be from Image Comics. Great stuff like Proof, Green Wake, Who is Jake Ellis, Near Death... the list goes on and on.
So what's this new title I see called No Place Like Home? Here's the official solicit:
Dee’s life is in turmoil when her parents are killed in a freak tornado. Returning to Kansas for the funeral after five years in LA, Dee discovers Emeraldsville is the same unexciting place it was when she left – until the bizarre unexplained murders begin.
With an unknown killer closing in, the events of one night in 1959 begin to unravel as a portal to a world of horror opens, a portal paved with yellow bricks…
This series looks great, and I'm a sucker for new spins on the Wizard of Oz. I am from Kansas after all.
So I decided to reach out to the creators, and managed to exchange words with the series writer/creator Angelo Tirotto! He had this to say:
"We'd be more than happy to draw you in! ... I'll get Rich to add you into the first issue."
Richard Jordan being the artist on the book. The first issue is scheduled to hit stores in February! Can't wait!
