Thanks Ryan Kelly!

A week later I finally have my copies of Saucer Country #1. I didn't get a copy of the variant, but that's an easy fix for a later day.
Many thanks to Ryan Kelly for helping me out on my campaign. Such a great book, I'm looking forward to seeing this story unfold.

Appearance #32! Saucer Country #1 by Ryan Kelly!

So of course I had to contact the series artist Ryan Kelly. His name sounded familiar, come to find out I've liked his artwork previously posted online. Previous books include The New York Four (and Five), DMZ, and Unwritten.
Thankfully Ryan was willing to help this fanboy out. I love this page! Think I just found my replacement title for Scalped which ends in June. I hope Ryan and series writer Paul Cornell much sucess for this new title!

Appearances in March!

Received good news yesterday in the form of an e-mail from Wolverine & the X-men artist Nick Bradshaw.
I'm going to be in issue #7! Although I might be a mutant or an alien in it. He didn't really specify, but either of which will be a first for me.... I'm excited regardless.
The book is scheduled for March 14, the same day Saucer Country #1 ships. An issue where Ryan Kelly has penciled me in somewhere.
It's another one of those rare double shipping weeks and I can't wait!

So like a week ago was the New York Comic Con. A lot of company's took this time to announce the next big event and new titles. One of these gems to come out of the convention was a new on-going series from Vertigo written by Paul Cornell called Saucer Country. Drawing the series is Ryan Kelly, who did the promo image below.
On Paul Cornell's site he says, "It's about Arcadia Alvarado, the Governor of New Mexico, who, on the eve of announcing that she's running for President... is 'abducted by aliens'."
It's being described as "The West Wing does The X-Files."
Saucer Country sounds like a winner and so I had to reach out to Ryan Kelly. There were a few "concerns" however I got a firm.... maybe.
I am optimistically hopeful.
