Draw Me In - Seventh Blogiversary!

Every year when Comic-Con International happens, I am reminded that another year has passed since I started this website.
What started as a simple idea from a contest in a magazine, turned into a website followed by a trip to the biggest comic book convention in the country.... seven years have pasted since I started Draw Me In and it's been a fun ride so far. I've met some great people and have been incredibly lucky as a comic book "fanboy".Looking back to my trip to SDCC in 2006, I loved how it was my first non local convention, and damn did it blow the doors off of that show. I managed to talk with a bunch of creators that have yet to make it out to the mid-west. But ever since I've been wanting to go to more "big" shows, but just have lacked the funding to do so. Hopefully someday I can fix that. Maybe take an extended comic-con/vacation with my wife to like, Seattle or Chicago, because there are certainly more creators I'd like to shake hands with and get autographs from.
I'm glad to have made my own personal mark on my hobby. So however much longer I continue to do this, I'd like to think that if I were to suddenly stop, I would be content to what all has happened.
