Thank you so much man for putting me in your book! Image has a lot of great titles coming out right now, I'm sure glad I gave Near Death a shot.

Appearance #35! Near Death #8 by Simone Guglielmini!

Way back in September of last year, I posted about Near Death from Image Comics and how great I thought it was. Well, it's still pretty great. Are you reading it?

After reading the first issue I contacted the series artist Simone Guglielmini right away. Thankfully Simone agreed to give me a cameo in a future issue.

So here it is in living color:

Bringing in the New Year!

December 29, 2011

Mapping out the next year, I have at least three appearances coming in 2012. Near Death #8 is the last of them... but May seems so far away.

To help pass the time though, I do have this!

Thanks to Simone Guglielmini for sending me this, the pencils of the panel I've been drawn into.

Read Near Death from Image Comics! Happy New Year!

Contact! Simone Guglielmini!

September 23, 2011

With all of the new #1's coming out this month from DC Comics, it's easy to overlook a few other new comics from other publishers. But thanks impart to a quick review from a comic shop on Bleeding Cool, last Wednesday at my local comic book store I picked up the new #1 issue of Near Death from Image Comics.

The story was written by Jay Faerber with art by Simone Guglielmini. Here's the solicitation from Image:

Markham is a professional killer who has a near death experience during a botched mission. Determined to avoid ever returning to the Hell he glimpsed, Markham dedicates himself to balancing the scales. He's going to save a life for every life he's taken. And he's taken a lot of lives...

I don't normally follow "crime books" but I like the hook. Plus I dig the artwork. So I'm on board.

I contacted Simone and told him how much I enjoyed the book. I of course also told him about my campaign and Simone agreed to put my cameo in a future issue.

Simone also told me he has quite a few issues completed already, and was finishing up issue #6. So I have a few months yet to wait for this, but now DMI also has something on the books already for 2012!

Pick up Near Death #1!
